General +
Hirondelle Mk1. 7 metre Catamaran 5 berths in cabin, one being a large, 2m x 1.2m, double on the bridge deck and 3 single berths 2m x 1m. -

GRP painted hull, GRP decks with painted non slip areas -
Rig & Rigging +
9 metre alloy Kemp mast with SS standing rigging with 2 forestays and 2 backstays. -
Sails +
Main, Genoa (roller reefing), Small Jib and Spinnaker with pole. -
Engine +
Honda 10HP electric start with single lever remote in cockpit, for easy operation. New 2003, serviced each year by owner. -
Electrical & Nav +
12 volt system from new 70AH battery, charged by engine and 12 watt Solar panel mounted on davits. 2nd “Emergency” battery to power VHF, GPS and Navtex, if necessary. This kept charged by small Solar panel on hatch top. Switch panel with 12 outputs, several 12v cigar type outlets for phones etc. Full cabin & Navigation lighting. Speed/log, depth, wind speed/direction, compass, windex. DSC VHF Radio, Chart plotter, both useable from cockpit, being good for when single handed. Mast head plus pushpit rail mounted emergency aerial. -
Ground Tackle +
Plough type 15lb. main anchor with 10m chain and 30m rode, at bow. Danforth type kedge anchor with 5m chain and 20m rode, at stern. -
Safety +
Horse shoe type flotation device with light. 2 Fire extinguishers, 1 fire blanket. Portable manual bilge pump. Inshore flare pack. -
Galley +
Origo Spirit 2 ring cooker with kettle and various pans. 25 lt water tank to galley sink with electric and hand pumps. Moulded in draining board to sink and wooden sink cover. -
Heads +
Separate toilet compartment with hand pumped sea toilet. 25 lt water tank to fold up sink with hand pump. Space for wet weather clothing. -
Dinghy +
“Bic Sport Yak” plastic dinghy in davits on stern, 2m long with wooden seat and bracket for outboard. 2 paddles which can be used as oars or as a long kayak type paddle. -
Misc 1 +
6 fenders, bucket, mop, deck scrubbing brush, boat hook. Buoy for kedge anchor, 5 mooring lines. 1 winch handle. 1 sail cover. PVC covered cushions for all 8 cockpit seats. -
Note from owner +
Sailed all around the Thames Estuary from Harwich to Ramsgate and over to France and Belgium during last 7 years in my ownership. A safe family friendly boat which sails well and goes into the shallowest of creeks with her 0.4 metre draught (dagger boards up), yet beats to windward with 1.2 metre draught ( boards down) .
