General +
(length overall) 12.8 m (42 ft). Wharam Pahi 42 built in South Africa launched in the 90's. Has been rebuilt to be monococque with a rigid bridge deck consisting of a bridge deck cabin and a cockpit with wheel steering, generous deck lockers and an outboard motor well. The space abaft the cockpit is fitted with teak slatted decking. Dollys Pride was built in South Africa and sailed via Brazil and the Caribbean to the UK where the owner lived on her for several years until I purchased her in 2002. I have sailed primarily locally with occasional cross channel trips. This is a reluctant sale but I do not currently have the spare time to warrant owning a boat of this size so am, temporarily I hope, downsizing. I would consider a boat sharing option. The hulls were repainted with 2 pack paint in 2009. The cockpit area was repainted with 2 pack paint in 2010 There is current ongoing maintenance with priming and painting on parts of the deck areas. All exterior areas are painted with 2 pack paint The bridgedeck, with 4' 6" headroom, has proved an invaluable addition in cruising comfort. -
Sails +
Hood roller reefing with a Rowsell genoa new 2005, mainsail and assorted spare sails. Mainsail halyard new summer 2010 -
Hulls/Decks etc +
Hulls and decks are constructed from Selign Karie marine plywood on Meranti stringer and framing with epoxy glue and non ferrous fastenings. The exterior is sheathed in with glass fibre fabric and epoxy resin on both keels and all deck surfaces. The cross beams are laminated from softwood with phenolic resin glue and sheathed with epoxy and glass. -
Rig & rigging +
Rigged as a bermudan cutter, the mast is a silver anodised extrusion, the boom is a wooden wishbone. Standing rigging is stainless steel hove down to stainless steel chainplates by stainless steel bottlescrews -
Ground tackle/warps +
2 Fluke anchors with chain, Seawolf electric windlass (motor new 2009) operated via Vetus footswitch . Lots of warps -
Electrical +
Starter Battery, 110ah house battery new 2009, Aquair 100 with spare charging prop and regulator, 60w solar panel with regulator, Honda generator Autohelm 4000+ tillerpilot, Nasa Target Depthsounder, Uniden vhf, Garmin 128 GPS, JRC 1000 Radar 12v lighting in bridgedeck and both hulls -

Mariner 9.9 new 2004 lightly used, regularly serviced -

Stainless rudder aligned right in the cockpit with two 8mm Dyneema ropes to the tiller cross bar. -

Galley to port, with 6x20ltr water containers with whale pump. Calor Gas 2 burner grill and oven, Samsung 240v microwave Heads to starboard with sink and 20ltr water container and whale pump -
Heads +
LM69 hand operated toilet. Serviced 2010 -
