Swinging Mooring available on the beautiful River Exe at Starcross managed by Powderham Castle estate, close to Cafe on the Exe floating bistro and Strarcross Fishing and Cruising Club, serviced annually stored ashore in winter.
I am selling this mooring separately as the leasehold is not transferable, but will include mooring in sale of boat new owner would need to register and pay dues to Powderham estate, not expensive and no waiting list or considerable cost of laying a new mooring.
  • Misc 2 +

Winter storage is also available in Exmouth where a boatbuilder keeps a secure eye on things at a fraction of the cost of hauling out and storage each winter
It's basically a beach which is dry 95% of most tides.
  • Owner comments +

I bought this boat in January 2013 via Scott Brown brokerage the photos shown are from that sale, boat is now Green and Black not yellow and black, she's had a name change and is no longer in Faversham Kent, I paid the asking price of £8000.
The boat is well worth that it is a very clever hybrid design marrying the top sides of a Tiki with the strength and higher freeboard of a Classic Wharram, this boat is a multi tasker it can be a great day sailer for six or so people to relax in safety, a limitless cruiser with berths for three or a great liveaboard for one or two you can have a hull each. On delivery to the River Exe Devon from Faversham in Kent she proved amazingly fast with a safe motion over 13 knots was seen on the gps for hours on end, although flexing from lashings caused concern so I replaced all lashings with ratchet straps as was the original build, these are cheap readily available and easy to tighten. The previous owner fitted a boom to the mainsail which I removed after several smacks on the head it was then clear that half length battens caused the sail to crease down the belly so I have had the sail altered to give full length but light flexible battens to make a better sail shape.
A nasty storm hit Exmouth in March 2016 causing a lot of damage it coincided with very high tide Tacenui Mae dragged her stern she collided with a Wharram beside her causing damage to the rudders and port hull, this is currently being repaired by a professional boat builder, he is also building a new engine cover for her.
Owners circumstances have changed meaning boat has not been used much since arriving in Devon and must be sold. So, if you like the thought of taking up the Wharram lifestyle at a fraction of the original build cost, this boat is the perfect base as it is, a cockpit tent or pod would be easily built.
Offers around £ 8000 much less before refit completed.
